About the Coffee:
This release comes from smallholder producers living in Suke Werekata, a remote village in the Uraga district in the Guji Zone in Oromia, Ethiopia. These producers harvest coffee exclusively by hand and deliver to the Suke Werekata Washing Station, a local washing station that is quickly becoming known for being one of the highest quality producing stations due to their cherry quality from the surrounding forests. Once picked, the cherries are laid to dry on raised beds for 20-23 days, where they are rotated by hand every hour for the first two days to ensure even drying and consistent sun exposure. This coffee is vibrant and sweet, highlighting notes of sugar and berry.
