About the Coffee:

The Wanja Kersa kebele (community) is located in the Agaro region in Oromia, Ethopia. The 579 smallholder producers that live in this region use the Yukro washing station to process their cherries. These producers and their community belong to the Oromo people. They maintain certain ancestral customs and live a quiet lifestyle built almost entirely around agriculture, focusing on growing coffee, potatoes, maize, and false banana trees. Cherries gathered in this collective offering are washed and mechanically depulped, then soaked and fermented overnight. The next day, the coffee is dried for 6 to 8 hours a day over a span of 6 to 8 days on raised beds.
