About the Coffee:

David Solano, along with his brother Eddy, are 4th generation coffee producers at their family farm Concepcion Buena Vista. David is a 3 time back-to-back National Barista Champion and leads operations at La Joya. Eddy specializes in logistics and exports for the farm. Both brothers have an agricultural engineering background and apply these practices to their meticulousness in coffee producing and processing. Concepcion Buena Vista is located in a small town called El Sapito, in the Chimaltenango department of Guatemala. The red bourbon varietal was selected for this double ferment washed process as a result of its density and sugar content (brix reading of 25-26%). These trees are grown around dense natural tree shade and on flat topography for this plot of land.
